You can the restart the computer and continue trying to install UAD. One of the bottom two options (I'm pretty sure it was the bottom one) gives you the opportunity to opt for a slightly reduced security (something like allowing user approved extensions). Now, this next bit I find hard to recall exactly but the screen should show something like Startup Security Utility and a choice of three options. You have to shut down the Mac and then restart it in "recovery mode" - you do this by pressing and holding the Touch ID button (top right) until it opens up in a rather odd looking screen. I'll see if I can remember the whole thing. But still nothing.Ĭlick to expand.Hi, I think I can help: I just spent the day helping a friend install UAD on a new MacBook Pro and we encountered the same issue. Have even tried reinstalling and restarting the laptop multiple times. I'm following all the steps the UAD website mentions about software installation on Ventura. Is it a Ventura bug, or I'm missing something here? I'm now trying to install the UAD software, but the meter shows a prompt ' Click Allow in Security & Privacy', which I can't seem to find. I didn't read through the upgrade notifications and kept clicking the upgrade button, only to realize later that I had upgraded the OS to Ventura. I was still working on Mojave before I bought the new MBP, so the upgrade to the default OS (Catalina) of the new MBP was a very significant. I have been working on a 2015 MBP and have been using my Apollo Twin without any hassle. I have recently upgraded to an 16in M1 Max MacBook pro. But can't seem to get the process done as there's no 'Allow' button in the 'Security & Privacy' option. Tl Dr - I'm trying to install the UAD software of my new 16in M1 Max MBP, OS Ventura.
